For small and medium businesses (SMB) customers, we’ll also be offering Microsoft Teams RoomsBasic, which provides core meeting experiences to customers when they purchase a certified Microsoft Teams Rooms device at no additional cost. This includes scheduling, joining meetings, content sharing, and collaborative whiteboarding, as well as basic security and management capabilities out of the box. Each no-cost license enables one certified Teams Rooms device per room. This license is only available via direct as part of the hardware setup flow and isn’t part of our Volume Licensing programs or sold through the CSP channel. Additionally, customers can have up to 25 active Basic licenses on their tenant at a time. Another benefit of this change is that Microsoft Teams Rooms Basic customers represent a great opportunity for upsell to Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro.
